Each piece is handmade to order, so we ask you to choose carefully — but we still want you to love what arrives. Here is exactly how returns, exchanges, and refunds work.
Return window
You may return unused, in-original-condition items within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the product price. Items must be unworn, unwashed, with original packaging and any tags intact.
Non-returnable items
- Custom or commissioned pieces (sized, monogrammed, or made to your spec)
- Final-sale items, clearly marked at checkout
- Gift cards
How to start a return
- Email contact@desertartisan.co within 14 days of delivery with your order number and the reason for return.
- We respond within 2 business days with a Return Authorization (RA) number and the return address.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging and ship it back within 7 days of receiving the RA.
Items shipped back without an RA number cannot be processed.
Return shipping costs
- Standard returns: the buyer is responsible for return shipping (we recommend an insured, tracked service).
- Damaged, defective, or wrong item: we cover all return shipping and provide a prepaid label.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return (usually 2–3 business days after it arrives), we refund the original payment method. Refunds are processed within 7 business days on our end; your bank may take an additional 3–10 days to post the credit. Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Exchanges
We're happy to exchange for size or color where stock allows. Email us before sending the item back so we can reserve the replacement. If your preferred replacement isn't available, we'll refund you and you can place a new order.
Damaged in transit
If your order arrives damaged, please email contact@desertartisan.co with photos of the item and packaging within 72 hours of delivery. We will arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund at our cost — your choice.
Lifetime craftsmanship guarantee
Beyond the return window, we still stand behind our work. If a stitch fails or a joint loosens through normal use, write to us — we repair our pieces for as long as we are in business, at cost for materials only.
